Creating a new range of gift vouchers for Alder Vineyard ahead of the festive season, to help boost sales during coronavirus restrictions.
The problem
In the winter months, vineyard tour sales decline due to there being less to see in the vines and a reduction in tourists in the area. This was increased further this year due to coronavirus restrictions. So a new source of income was needed to help fill the gap of the summer tour sales.
The solution
Working with Alder Vineyard I created a new range of gift voucher experiences, appealing to local and afar customers as unique gift ideas. These included a range of tour vouchers, ranging from a basic tour to a full winemakers lunch experience for 2 people as well as money vouchers for their shop + kitchen. Since launching the gift vouchers in November, online sales for Alder Vineyard doubled in the run up to Christmas as a result.
Gift vouchers
The gift vouchers were designed to keep the information simple and compact. Keeping the details simply to what’s included, how to redeem the vouchers and their issue number and expiry date, to work with the in-house voucher management system at the vineyard. This makes it really easy for the receiver of the gift card to understand what they have been gifted and how to use it.
Back design
The reverse of the voucher is used to showcase what each experience at Alder Vineyard will include. This is achieved by using lifestyle photography of people enjoying a tour through Alder’s vines and images of the food included in each voucher. I’ve used a gridded layout to the images to pull together a visual image of each gift experience, enabling the end customer to really get a feel for the personal experience they will get when they visit and what’s included.
